Dr. Johnnie Hunt is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and Fellow to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Hunt, a native of Morgan City, graduated from Morgan City High School, Louisiana State University and LSU School of Dentistry. She has completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry from LSU School of Dentistry in affiliation with Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. Dr. Hunt has received training in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically compromised patients, orthodontics, and growth and development of children.
Dr. Hunt has won numerous awards, including the Louisiana New Dentist Award and the Health Centers in School Health Hero award. The Louisiana Dental Association recognized her as a “Star” in 2014. Dr. Hunt has served as the Pediatric Dental Lead for the Louisiana Mission of Mercy since 2016.
Dr. Hunt and her husband, Dr. Michael Bond, reside in Baton Rouge with their three children, Blakeley, Ryder and Arlie. They have two fur babies, Scout and Uno, as well as 6 chickens. The chickens do not have names.
During her free time, Dr. Hunt loves to run, read and travel to exotic locations. If she was not a pediatric dentist, she would like to be the Director of Fun at some large company in Silicon Valley. When asked about her family life, Dr. Hunt remarks, “I knew I had reached the pinnacle of mommy hood when my 6-year-old asked me to pick her wedgie.”
