Why Us?

Our Innovative Approach to Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dental Specialists is a leading-edge practice that delivers state-of-the-art oral health care to the pediatric population from birth to throughout their teenage years. You and your child are greeted with a warm and comfortable atmosphere that lasts throughout your visit. We find this helps reduce any anxiety your child may have.

We Are On the Cutting Edge of Technology

We utilize digital imaging and digital radiography (x-rays) to minimize our patient’s exposure to radiation by 90% in comparison to the conventional x-ray equipment. Digital radiographs provide quality images that make it possible to reduce the number of x-rays that we need for each child. Parents and children can view the enlarged radiographs on the flat screen monitors so that the communication with the dentist is more efficient. We also offer a state of the art sterilization to ensure your child’s safety.

We Have a Staff with High Credentials

Every member of our team that is involved in providing dental care for your children is E.D.D.A (Expanded Dental Duty Assistant) certified. Their specific duties include the ability to provide cleanings and fluoride treatments for your children, sealants, taking x-rays, and assisting during sedations.

A Relaxing Environment for Our Parents and Children

games

While children are being cared for, parents can enjoy the peace and comfort of our waiting area. Sipping coffee from our coffee bar, reading material, and complimentary wireless internet are available to make our parents’ visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We will also provide play stations and other game systems for your children to occupy their time while waiting in the back area.

We Are True Pediatric Specialists

Many general dentists identify their practices with the description of “Family Dentistry.” Most parents are often unaware that general dentistry does not require additional training and education beyond their four year graduation from dental school to treat children. Pediatric Dentistry, on the other hand, is recognized specialty which requires an additional two year residency after graduating dental school. Pediatric dentists are specially trained for the specific needs of children, especially dealing with anxiety that many children may have coming to the dentist. Dr. Hunt also specializes in caring for and treating patients with special needs. We believe all children deserve the benefits of dental health and happy smiles.
